Grant Whiteway

Grant Whiteway was a 4 yr player of the Minuteman of UMASS. Outstanding player who was selected to the Preseason NEILA All -New England Team his Jr Year and NEILA East/West Coast All Star game selection his Sr Year.  A 77 pt player with 61 Goals and 16 Assists for his outstanding UMASS careeer.

Before UMass: Was a four-year letterwinner at Billerica High School under coach Craig Flynn, playing alongside current Minuteman D.J. Smith … Was part of four MVC Championship teams … Named an All-American as a junior and senior … 2011 MIAA Boy’s Lacrosse First Team All-State, one of only four attackmen from Massachusetts to earn the honor … Tabbed MVC All-Conference in each of his scholastic campaigns … Was the MVC Player of the Year as a junior and senior … Holds school records for most points (182), goals (45) and assists (66) in a season as well as single-game points recorded (14) … Averaged 7.9 points per game as a senior … Led the nation in his final year at Billerica with 116 goals and 182 points … Posted 539 career points, 353 goals and 186 assists at Billerica … Also wrestled for the Indians … Named an Inside Lacrosse Power-100 player (No. 90) and Top-40 Attackman (No. 28) as a senior at Billerica in 2011.
